Rockin' good show! But my biggest Buffy-related tear jerk is in IWRY.

It wasn't my biggest, but I was kind of stunned to find my eyes leaking quite seriously (so much so, that it made me laugh). By the time she's clutching him and losing it because she's got a minute left? Geez. Raw. She really nailed the sense of time and possibilities slipping away and that it was killing her. Him? Well, he lost me there for a second ... with the fake crying - not his strength ... but he had me back when they were back in the office. He did a good "I just got the worst, most painful gut-punch ever, but I'm gonna just pretend long enough for you to leave so I can collapse."

Ahem. Yeah, I liked it. Why do you ask?

The heart wrenching scene where I think they were both completely on is the one in Surprise when she finally finds him in his room. Killer.

Cant' breathe. Also amazing, per Vortex's post.

ETA: It was the "How am I supposed to go on knowing what we had ... what we could have had?" or like that that killed me. Plus, one of her expressions when she wasn't even talking was just SO heartbreaking.

I can't even.

I'm pretty sure Istanbul is the only time _Buffy_ ever made me tear up at first viewing.

Damn. I've openly sobbed at Buffy eps numerous times. IWRY crushed me.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Yeah, I don't know why - I tear up easily a lot of the time, but not with Buffy, for whatever reason. I agree that IWRY is a killer.

I didn't mean to bring this thread down.

Didn't bring it down for me. I thought your story about your Mom was very beautiful Rayne.

I have balled at soooo many. I'm a sap. But the first one I cried at was Prophecy Girl. They replayed it some time in the middle of S2 (or am I dreaming that?) and "Do you think it will hurt?" just broke me. Another surprising one I balled at was Tabula Rasa. I know, super sappy, but Giles on a plane = sniffly.

The only ep of a ME show I can't watch due to the sad factor is Hero from AtS. Because the RL stuff with GQ. It disturbs me greatly.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

But the first one I cried at was Prophecy Girl.

That is a great scene. "Tell me my fortune!". And it is made so much better by the pain in Giles' face as he watches _his_ Slayer melt down.

I also always tear at "The Prom" - Class Protector. *sniff*

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Sheepish sloppy spot in my heart for IWRY.

Things that get me: IWRY, Buffy breaking down while doing dishes in Listening to Fear, "I can't breathe", Wesley returning to his apartment in Double or Nothing and again with the wordless Wes angst in the way he just sort of breaks after decapitating Lilah's corpse in Salvage, Connor in Home.

Hmm. There are probably more moments.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think the Class Protector award is the first place I cried, in series chronology, but I'm not sure if I cried the first time I saw it. I know I cried on first viewings of The Body, and The Gift (because of Dawn and Spike, mostly), but not sure of any others that didn't involve Amanda fighting.

But my most reliable crypoint is Zoe in War Stories. I get tingly just thinking about that.

Wrod. Always.

I have to mute/turn it off before it gets to the last dance though because I hate how SMG and DB keep *looking* at each other OVER and OVER, it is so unnatural and that song ("Wild Horses" by the Sundays) is ruined for me by a very bad Marky Mark movie.

My biggest HSQ moment? Giles return with "I'd like to test that theory." Because I was completely unprepared for it. Not one jot spoiled.

I actually screamed with glee at the TV. I really don't usually do that. Usually. But it was "Giles!!!!!"

Mighta had more HSQ moments, but by the time I started watching Buffy, I kinda knew pretty much all the surprises.
