"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well that'd be WRONG. Ask Joss.

Joss is wrong. Finale is the last ep of the season. Coda my butt.

"Don't think of yourself as an organic pain collector racing towards oblivion." Dogbert to Dilbert

Restless isn't considered the S4 finale. Primeval is the finale, and Restless is the coda.)

Structurally, Cindy is correct, and I think both Joss and Fury commented how they changed things at the end of Season 4 so that it wouldn't follow the established pattern. Still, I think "Restless" is the show to compare season endings to, because it does offer that contrast to the others.

Coda my butt.

Actually I think I'm saying that my butt is my body's coda. Not it's finale. Yes, it's a fine coda to the torso, even though technically my feet may be considered the finale.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Restless is just the most amazing hour of TV, ever.

Yes. This.

And how much of a sap am I? I get all weepy at the "I walk, I talk, I shop, I sneeze... I want to be a fireman when the floods roll back. There's trees in the desert since you moved out, and I don't sleep on a bed of bones," line.

I don't know why, it's almost nonsensical, but it's just sensical enough to give it some sort of gravitas that just makes my breath catch in my throat every time I watch it.

Oh, no Sean. It is one of the most sense making lines ever, especially when looked at in the full context of the series, including Chosen. It's why, despite my unhappiness with a lot of the S7 execution, I was still happy with the story I was told.

She isn't just destruction. She's a girl. She walks, talks, sneezes and shops. She's a big damned hero, sir. And now she's not alone.

Oooh. I just got chills when my allergies acted up.

Religion isn't the cause of wars. It's the excuse. - Christopher Brookmyre

You could look at Restless and Primeval as a two-part season finale. Primeval has that burning-bridges, big damn battle feel I look for in a season finale. But without Restless it's crippled, missing consequences. Plus, Restless adds the funky, not-quite-like everything else feel.

Yeah, I'm with Cindy, Sean, no shame in loving 'I walk.' It may be bizarre, but you know exactly what they mean and it's really cool. Like poetry, in that they don't have to follow literal speech rules.

"I walk..." is usually my desktop pic (I did a little thing in Quark with it). When it isn't, my desktop is a panel from Fray.

I feel no shame.
