Religion isn't the cause of wars. It's the excuse. - Christopher Brookmyre

Sorry, S3,S4,S2, S5 ,S1,S7,S6. I really like most (i.e the non-Riley parts) of the first half of season 5. And I liked Glory as a villian. It wasn't till I came here that I discovered a lot of people didn't.

Season six was my personal nadir. I didn't watch the later half. Come to that, I skipped a good part of season seven (but I watched Storyteller, yay!). I thought they got off to a really good start. Then it fell over with an audible *thunk* at Buffy's first speech. (That 'we just became an army' one.)

Mind you, I was spoiled, so I knew she wasn't going to actually do anything. But, you know what? I would have loved that episode, if they'd had one episode preparing and Potentials showing up, then done the season finale. Basically they come up with a plan and take the fight to the First. Then the rest of the series is aftermath, basic Hellmouth stuff and character stuff. All I needed after that first speech, was for her to actually do something.

Fool For Love, Triangle, Crush, The Body

Only episodes I have any interest in ever seeing again from S5. I really, really hate The Gift with an unholy passion. I might've mentioned that one or two (million) times before.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I like S2 and S3 best, but most of my all-time favorite episodes are from S4 or later (Hush, Something Blue, OMWF, Fool For Love, etc.).

Fool For Love, Triangle, Crush, The Body

Yeah, FFL is great. The Body is beyond great, but I don't want to watch it that often. Triangle I enjoyed quite a bit. Crush doesn't mean as much to me as most Spike-fans.

But it's got Dru and Spike! And feeding at the Bronze! And chains and tasers and crossbows! And did I mention Dru in chains?

Whoo, head rush. I need to sit down.

And did I mention Dru in chains?

Okay, I'm persuaded. I love Dru.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I loved Crush at the time. Unfortunately, my favorite moment was Buffy slamming the door in Spike's face, so that, er, didn't come out quite the way I'd hoped.

Still fond of it, though. Xander's amusement! Dru mouthing Boo-Boo!

My favorite part is when Spike asks Buffy if she likes the Ramones. And when he gets flustered when he realizes he has opened the door for her.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Other worthy season 5 eps. (IMO) - Intervention, The Real Me, Tough Love, Forever, No Place Like Home (I think that was what it was called), Checkpoint & the Replacement. The rest of the season was soooo weak. I didn't mind Riley going dark, just the way they ended it. But the arc stuff was painfully slooooooow. It makes sense in retrospect (because Glory was Ben a lot), but Ben was such a fount of anti-charisma that it didn't matter. Plus, this was all happening during the beige-Angel arc, so it was a stark contrast.

Damn, I've still got to work up my how to fix season 5 summary.

I love Crush. I love the Gift too. I gather the plot crevasses bothered some peole, but it felt like a season finale. Even a series finale. To me, Season 7 was only a season finale, and not a great one.

Hey, votes on season finale episodes, by how they affected you? S3 S5 S2 S1 S4 S7, is mine. (I'm excluding season 6 on purpose, this time, cause I didn't see it.)
