Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

You all will be relieved to hear that our important papers did turn up... in my bin of "to be filed" papers. Which, I suppose, was technically the right place for them! (I did make them a file folder of their very own, at last.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay Kate!!

Msbelle I have often felt like that lately. Bored, but not energetic enough to really do much about it. I've been playing a lot of solitaire, which is...probably not healthy

Herding cats for fun

We had a story in San Francisco about a deranged gentleman who screams at women on the streetcar and terrified some kids and the powers that be just can't do a thing because he's a white dude with an address and certifiable mental illness.

I wondered how long that would go on until someone tried vigilante justice. I expect eventually his luck will run out.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

No Natter today? I sort of don't have enough work to do this week, which I guess means I should do work on longer-terms projects, but who wants to do that? Not I!

It's Feb/March birthday cake day, finally. Only 44 days after my birthday, so...we made C cut the cake because her birthday is tomorrow and the rest of us were all, we're done with all that.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I nearly bought some pot yesterday! Got on line at the Brookline store that just opened last weekend and, alas, it took a half-hour to work my way to the front, and then my meter time was up. Ah well. They had a coffee service and buckets of candy, which I immediately dubbed pre-Munchies.

First time I've ever been carded by a dealer.

But, I thought about how much a Brookline parking ticket would cost me, and that with the increased traffic in the neighborhood, the meter maids would be out in force, so I said screw it and left even though I was next in line.

When I got home and read through the literature, I found out that they've got free parking set up in the hotel down the road (you have to stop and get a ticket curbside) so the next time I'm over there....

Our wings are not tired.

~ma, meara!

My medical update is disappointing. I've been going to the nutritionist for 3 months and have been a very good girl. No processed foods, no bad carbs, nice organic foods. I even gave up coffee and wine. Lost 10 pounds. She feels as though as good as I have been I really should have lost more. So she gave me a printout of a long list of labs she wants done. I don't mind following a strict diet and exercising every day if I see real results. So, blah.
