Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We had our parent teacher conference via Zoom on Friday. ltc is doing great and tries everything. She doesn't throw huge tantrums at school. So, I guess she saves those for at home.

Our wings are not tired.

That's good to hear, sj. Yes, little ones do tend to save the tantrums for parents. Joy.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

So you guys were probably all over this when it actually happened, but I'm always late. Anyway - I just watched a episode of Graham Norton from late 2019 (what can I say, my DVR contains multitudes) and Kesha was the musical guest. She had a half dozen back up dancers of various sizes and types and I got fully weepy when this plus sized guy not only danced, but was often in the front. Like she wasn't just making a showing of hiring diverse types, but actually believing that he was a talented dancer worthy of the front row. Fully weepy. Then they showed a pic of her 2018 Grammy performance of "Praying" (what can I say, I don't watch awards shows) so I watched it on Youtube and I got weepy some more.

So, anyway, I am apparently now a Kesha fan (not that I disliked her before, just kinda didn't have an opinion - now fully fanned out).

I haven't watched Graham Norton in a while. I should do that. I used to record it, but haven't since I changed tv stream systems.

I have several eps on my DVR. It's not priority TV, but sometimes just hits a sweet spot. That particular ep had HRC and Chelsea promoting a book they co-wrote and it was great seeing them as well. Just a really satisfying, if weep inducing, hour of TV.

In the end it's only ever been one step, and then the next.

Guess who has plantar fasciitis? My feet hurt, this sucks.

plantar fasciitis

Oh, ouch.

For me, ibuprofen didn't help with that at all, but rolling a frozen water bottle under my arch(es) helped a lot.

The podiatrist gave me exercises, orthotics for my house boots (no running around barefoot for at least three weeks) and a night splint. Tennis ball, stretches, then ice. I told Jim I was a small ball of cranky.

Thrive to spite them

I have plantar fasciitis and when I was furloughed and not having to walk all over the store helped. But I also switched to alternating the shoes I wear every day and wearing supportive shoes. As well as doing the exercises and I don't do ice as much as I should. and I got a insert from the drugstore to help.

Heat seems to help.

I also try to remember to curl my toes or do other stretches during the day. I had a really bad flare up but then it seems to have calmed down again.

Oh and I have compression socks and some compression foot sleeves. I have a whole rotation system for the shoes and the compression socks of when I wear them and which shoes.
