We are at my in-laws'. Woke up early because of the time zone, but I'm still hiding out before I have to go socialize.

Ginger, I wish I could yell at people for you. I'm reminded of the time a nurse told my mother in the middle of the night that she couldn't have painkillers, even though that was contrary to what the doctor said.

I'm so sorry, Ginger, that you're having to deal with all this awfulness.

That one I'm going to write up. I can't really blame the nurses about the form; it appears to have been created in the '70s, before the creation small electronic devices and credit cards. They have to list every credit card, but there are no lines for them, so they repurpose various other lines. There are no lines for anything electronic. The system for retrieving information seems hopeless; I imagine a tiny room in the basement full of teetering piles. I didn't get the name of last night's gloating security person. I realized after he left that don't give the patients copies of the multi-copy forms they signed. I have no idea what happens to patients who are brought in alone and unconscious. Do they lock away everything and refuse to give them their belongings until they leave or do they stand out in the hall yelling, "Free credit cards here!"

The "egg sausage casserole" this morning was 2 inches high and remarkably solid. I showed it to the people who came to take various readings and bring medicines and one literally leapt back in horror, crying "what is that!"

Wow, no one in my history of being involved in hospitalizations has inventoried belongings or not let me or Hubby have them in the room. The cancer center only wanted to inspect any electronics that might be plugged into their walls.

ION, I'm here at work. Holiday and overtime pay! Yay! But I think one of the supervisors got the bright idea to do training today. No, dammit, this is not the opportunity for you to have a captive audience for long, boring training, this is the opportunity for people willing/shanghaied into working to get some quiet time in return for giving up a holiday!

Ugh Ginger, sounds like the night from hell! And I think you're right, security guy must have been messing with you. Strength~ma to you. May there be a good nurse on duty today.
