I'm checked in for my flight and I have a taxi coming to pick me up at 4:45am tomorrow. I'm working from home and only have one meeting today because everything else has been cancelled, so that's nice.
I feel kinda crappy and my allergies are terrible, but I don't actually want to punch anyone in the throat this week, so I'll take it.
I still have no news on who will be replacing my manager. I checked my visa application, and it says, "Embassy / Consulate has reviewed your application and is currently is 'In Transit' to the CKGS Application Centre." Dated yesterday. Which is not very helpful.
Jon sounded pretty sick on the radio last week. Is he feeling better?
I don't know. They were going to take Aaron to GG Park but it's raining. So I think they're laying in this morning and may take in the Cal Academy.
I just had to explain to someone that you don't just have to spend the money, you also have to do the stuff you said you would do. Someone in a fairly senior grants oversight role. So there you have it.
Ha, whining about my visa application got me this email in my inbox like magic, "Your application with your Passport has 'Returned' to the CKGS application Centre and is being 'Sorted' and will be ready for shipment through FedEx."
Wow
My work is trying to emulate a keystone cops routine through failure to communicate and cross-talking. I have resorted to only communicating through emails with everyone. Even the people who sit 5 feet from me.
Still better than home.
Those scare quotes make me nervous.
TJ's Maple Shredded Bite Size Wheats Plus Product 19
How can you mix cereal consistencies like that? I didn't even realize I had a thing about that but I just recoiled from that description. Even though either of those separately would be just fine.

How do you feel about Honey Bunches of Oats? Flakes + clusters of crack-sprinkled goodness.

Heh - I am all about cereal mixing. I used to have a favorite threeway combination with specific order for top layer, middle layer, and bottom. Then one of my cereals was discontinued. But Product 19 is perfect for top layering, though it's hard to find on the shelves.
If this is my Food Weirdness, I'm okay with that.
Those scare quotes make me nervous.
It's an automated email, so knowing that someone just did a crappy job creating templates takes away some of the menace.
I'm a little concerned that FedEx will deliver my passport after I leave and it will get stolen.
If nothing else, Lucky Charms has taught us that cereal components of different consistency can be magically delicious.
