Oh Ginger, that sucks. I hope you're feeling better asap, though.
A math problem for any of the mathy among us who are inclined:
I have 50 boxes that measure 5 1/8 x 4 1/4 x 7 7/8. How much space do I need to store them?
It's embarrassing to ask this, but this is really the kind of thing I have no idea how to figure out anymore, if I ever did.
Amy, each box is 171.53 cubic inches. So that's 8,577 cubic inches total (rounding up). And that's about 5 cubic feet (1 cubic ft = 1728 cubic inches). Does that help?
Ginger, joining everyone is wishing you well. If there are calls that can be made, please let us know.
Ginger, thinking of you--and Mr. P. Wish I was close enough to *do* something to help. All my good thoughts today.
I had a long post done, but my computer inexplicably decided to hibernate suddenly.
Anyway, this is my current status, as I understand it: I have a severe sodium imbalance and some kidney failure. They won’t be able to tell how much until they have my sodium corrected, which will take several days of IV input, clear fluids, (god help us) Gatorade and measuring my “output.” After that, they’re reluctant to let me go home alone, but I do have a friend who has volunteered to stay with me, depending on the logistics.
My sodium levels may just be the result of changes in my treatment that they made this month, and I’ll be okay with changing those and closer monitoring of my sodium levels, which had been done monthly and were fine at the end of October.
My house is what happens when someone who has too much stuff pulls out all the things she wants to get rid of or go through and then spends 9 months or so thinking she’ll feel like tackling it any day now, overlaid with a thick layer of dog hair and guilt, This includes stuff on every sleeping surface but my own bed. A friend is trying to see if she can find some trustworthy emergency cleaning to make having people come in be a little less embarrassing. As I suspected, the neighbor who talked with the petsitting neighbor had it all wrong and said neighbor says she and her brother would take care of Mr Peabody until I get home. It’s also possible that I can retrieve some essential passwords. Many of the things I was worried about yesterday have some possibility of solution. Thanks for all your good wishes.
A cautious yay for resolving at least some concerns, Ginger. I had to rely heavily on Gatorade for a week or so last year -- I kind of liked some flavors (especially the white stuff, but I can't remember which flavor that was), but obviously your tastes are not mine.
Cautious yays and sighs of relief, Ginger. I'm glad you, and Mr. Peabody, are being taken care of.
Thanks for checking in, Ginger. You have been on my mind all day. I understand about the house, plenty of us have been there with not nearly as good an excuse. Piles of stuff and pet hair happens! Here's hoping your levels get stabilized faster than anticipated.
I'm glad some solutions are appearing, Ginger. I am so frustrated by not being able to tangibly help you somehow - if something comes up that someone more remote could do for you, please ask!
