Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I thought I was an extrovert but turns out I need more alone time that I realized. But not an introvert either. Isn't there a name for that personality type finally? Ambivert I think.

Well, I figure I may be less of one that I think, but I spend so much time alone when traveling and working--I get plenty of alone time. In the past, I had coworkers around me all day, too, which is different!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What is coffee syrup??

It's like chocolate syrup except coffee, basically? [link]

Oh my god, I love good black tea. Time to donate my other teas to the break room, I do not need them.

I got an invite to Thanksgiving at best friend's place. And I think he knows my family isn't going up to Missouri for the holiday anymore, so I am fresh out of excuses to avoid his crazy in-laws. I may time my drop-by later in the evening in the hope that people will have headed home after the inevitable blow-up/meltdown.

I love being able to phrase my working on Thanksgiving as "I'm letting other people go spend the holiday with their family" rather than "I don't want to be the pity guest at someone else's do, and I can eat pumpkin pie anytime."

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I was going to get up and go to the supermarket early today. I am....almost ready to go? Pretty sure it will still be better than 4pm today or after work tomorrow.

I had planned to get up early and get the Walmart/Costco/Petsmart run done before noon. Sunday morning is the best time, while all the good folks are in church, you know. But I didn't even get out the door until noon. It took four freaking hours. I'm worn out! I really need to do some proofreading tonight to get a head start on the madness that will be Monday, but I'm about out of spoons.

I made lunch and then went outside to get a haircut, but that's all I've accomplished today thus far.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

My boss wants everything back tomorrow morning because this is a short week, so I'm trying to wrap up some articles, but I really just want to chill out and read my book. But I keep telling myself I can read tomorrow, because I won't have any work to do tomorrow (though the house needs to be cleaned SO MUCH).

ahaha holiday weeks are madness. I'm only in two days, and half the office is gone all week, including my boss. I have an issue that's supposed to go to the printer tomorrow and I haven't even looked at it yet because we didn't get the final files back from the vendor until last Friday. It *should* be correct as-is and not need any changes, but if that were guaranteed, I wouldn't have to proof it, now would I?

I'm still working on the perfect vodka-to-coffee ratio to get me through the day.
