Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

Nothing is more funny than the turkeys on WKRP.

TRUTH.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I haven't seen our parking lot turkeys in a little while, but they were sometimes pretty funny.

Turkey vultures, now, they are all serious business.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, dead turkeys are funny. I have had to walk by live turkeys, and I am not that big on it! They always feel like they could attack at any minute. Unless they are really into reading: [link]

I approve of the reading turkey.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Thanks for the good wishes, Buffistas all. I'm slowly beginning to remember what I had forgotten about the immediate wake of ita's death: for some deaths, there's almost no point in heading back to the office and trying to reestablish your routine; all you want to do is sit in front of the screen refreshing the sites they used to visit over and over, watching as new people trickle in and post all the old photos and yearbook pages and news clippings they haven't looked at in years. And various people who haven't talked regularly in ages are IM'ing and calling each other daily now, and we're all saying "I love you" an embarrassing amount.

I am completely, utterly cheating my employer by being here at all (I mean, not really, because I'm fast enough to still get the bare minimum done with the bare minimum of competency even when I'm operating on 25% brain power and 75% caffeine and since nobody else can do most of this it's either 25% me or zero, but it feels like a cheat).

Kat & K better let me name our turkey Fred (sorry, Fred Pete, it's a Thing) and have it dance. I can already see the look K will give me.

I just passed over St Louis, apparently. And possibly, 2 bourbon & gingers thanks to row mates excess of free drink coupons about to expire is a leetle much on what little I've eaten today. But I got hours to go.

Tipsy flying sarameg!

So I just had a difficult conversation to end my week, and now I have to send a difficult email to follow up. But at least I'm getting a drink after work with a colleague. Ugh.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

We are doing Thanksgiving this weekend and my brother is in town. Pretty sure Mac is failing classes, so will lose electronics, so loads of fun ahead.

Yeah, they are getting to that size where my inner shrew-like mammal really notices that they are dinosaurs.

Fun, sarameg!

Less fun, msbelle and Jesse, but not entirely unfun, I hope.

My parents and I are doing two 5Ks next week, one on Thursday and one on Saturday, because if you do both you get a bonus medallion that links the two race medals together. And thus we are picking up precooked dinner from Whole Foods and reheating after the Thursday race. I'm looking forward to it. I did also buy a turkey breast so I can cook that over the weekend if I want, but there's no pressure to cook All the Food on the day.

Ow. I took a walk just now, and a dogwalker with 3 small dogs was coming toward me, so I stepped to the side to give them room, and my stupid left ankle rolled (the one that I sprained horribly in February [it's the only one I *ever* sprain, because it's weak and tends to roll to the outside]). It wasn't enough to make me fall, but it hurts like a bastard. Not as bad as in February, but still, ow ow owie.

Plus, when I did it, I was 1/2 mile from the house, so *that* was a fun walk home.

I'm trying to decide between painkillers and booze.
