It's kinda windy out and my cats are completely nuts.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Oh wow. My theatre boss is in Paris, but is safe. You are right, Maria, Facebook is really good for this sort of connection.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Maria, I'm so glad your family is safe. This is so horrible.

My sister and nieces all have friends in Paris tonight, and oldest niece, she formerly of Gwar, is friends with the band that was at Bataclan. We haven't heard from any of them yet.

Band members are okay. One person working with the band was hurt but we don't know who.

I don't understand why anyone would attack Paris. Like, I get why people might hate America, proud American though I am, but France?

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

France is easier to get to.

So aweful!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Pure speculation, but the attacks could have been planned to happen during the World Climate Summit and bumped up after the Jihadi John news. Who knows?

I found some good news out of my undergrad. [link] I have a tremendous amount of respect for her.

Doesn't France have a fairly restrictive policy about allowing Muslim refugees to immigrate? If so, that may have been a factor.

I had planned to make it a Magic Mike kind of night, but I've been dealing with various gastrointestinal upset all day and am currently enjoying moderate heartburn, so volcano fajitas, dancing, and loud noise are right out. I'll show my support for the place another night when my stomach is up to it.

Uggghhhhh. A FB friend is posting hate on the Syrian refuges. I can't even. I think I'll be on an unfollowing spree over the next few days.

God, the Paris news is so awful.

A FB friend is posting hate on the Syrian refuges. I can't even.

I saw a great quote on Twitter: the people who caused this horror are the ones the Syrian refugees are running away from.

That is what I posted on FB that sparked the response. Her husband posted, deleted, posted, deleted, and then the wife posted. The first post was pure hate, the second slightly less hate, and the wife's post still has me too mad to respond. I know this family fairly well and they have gotten more and more conservative over the last few years.
