Sauvignon blancs have become my go to white. Chardonnays are hit and miss - the ones I like I really like, but the others I really don't. (Pouilly-Fuisse, btw, is chardonnay. They vary A LOT but determining which are the ones you like requires trying maybe too many of the ones you don't ime)
Oh, I can consult my wine database. White wines that I have noted as "look for more": verdelho (although my notes mention that it is a "perfect summer white"), sauvignon blanc, chardonnay. I think I liked the albarino also, but I haven't actually opened the bottle I bought, just tried it at the co-op, and another bottle I opened recently that I bought that day I didn't even want to drink, so my judgement on that occasion is suspect. I have a roussanne marked as "too sweet" but I don't know if that's all roussannes - the label called it "the sauvignon blanc of chardonnays" fwtw.
I like my whites not very sweet at all and there's a particular taste that I have not been able to describe other than I really dislike it.
I'm glad I can drink reds because I generally like them much better.
