Wash: So, two days in a hospital? That's awful. Don't you just hate doctors? Simon: Hey. Wash: I mean, present company excluded. Jayne: Let's not be excluding people. That'd be rude.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

My old company's insurance agent was the actual worst. He would tell us about his other client's medical claims. WHAT THE FUCK MAN MEET HIPAA. He insulted us to our faces and was a general dick. He once shouted at me on the phone and told me I could get arrested for violating HIPAA by telling our HR person about my own health issue. No, really.

And he was our insurance guy for at least 15 years if not longer. I assume we kept him on because he either had serious blackmail material on the owner or he was extremely inexpensive for the company.

Was it AOL that got reamed for claiming they had to raise prices because someone had a premature baby? They got shit for that and it was righteous.

Yes it was AOL:

Has anyone here gotten a cranial sacral massage? Gonna try this in the morning to get some relief from my head.

Welp, rather than use a visa processing service, it looks like I'm going to apply in person TOMORROW for a business visa. I have all my paperwork as of today, so fingers crossed I guess?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

When I was recovering from my car accident I had cranial sacral massage and I loved it. Put me in a trance every time.

Fingers crossed, shrift

I'm now reading the instructions on their website and filling out additional paperwork. AUGH.

I'm working from home tomorrow so I can run downtown to do this, and I will be drinking tomorrow afternoon after my appointment!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The little guy has finally calmed down. He was yelling up a storm, even after being fed and changed. Putting him in the swing calmed him down. Of course, I'm planning on giving him a bath in a little while, so he may be unhappy again. Oh, well.

Our wings are not tired.

Just read a few hundred posts - wow a lot going on! I am Sara in terms of needing my own space, but one of the things I love about my neighborhood is, like Steph's, it's small houses with modest lots. And most of the houses have welcoming porches. I'll take a tiny house with a lovely porch over a huge house with a giant garage being what you see from the street. We are a tight-knit, diverse neighborhood and I can see myself living here forever.

I didn't mean to sound whiny, but don't wait to figure out what you would do if something happens that makes it hard to live alone. I need to do something, but first I have to get some work done on the house and get rid of all this stuff. That takes energy, which I'm short of.

Ginger, I am concerned. I know the last time you talked about this on the board, you were intent on selling things. And the notion (and knowledge) that there were things of value was what was keeping you from doing a clean sweep. I can tell you that I am having my garage converted to a home office/gym and before that work started we did a COMPLETE clean out. And the psychic energy that I felt as all of that detritus and clutter was hauled away was extraordinary. I ordered a storage pod and had it for three days, while I went through the garage picking out the stuff I needed to keep. About 10%. I will have limited storage (by design) when the garage is completed, so I really just let go. And I had held on to a lot for sentiment sake and because some things had value. But oh oh boy did I feel amazingly FREE when it was all gone!!

So I am wondering if you'd be open to a 1-800-GOT-JUNK or some alternative who could come get it out of your way? Or you could get help placing it all into bags to be donated? Yes, some of it could be valuable and you'd be missing out on a few bucks, but I am wondering if selling anything is a realistic scenario with your treatments and energy levels. I hope this doesn't sound harsh, but instead helpful. I would be more than happy to chip in for a solution whether it's a 1-800-got-junk or sending MsBelle there to do a clean-up or SOMETHING that will allow you to live more comfortably.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good plan, shrift! Fingers crossed for you.

I am still full from lunch - oxtail, collard greens, red beans, hush puppies, corn bread, and peach cobbler with ice cream. Had a gingerbread chai latte an hour ago and that's gonna be dinner.
