And I'm pleased about the Bengals success as well. A high school friend of mine is the wide receivers coach, who was with the Eagles before, so it's nice to see good things happening for him.

No kidding. Though I'd choose the Eagles over the Steelers any day, if I was made to pick between PA teams.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.
God, I'm exhausted. I thought I was getting a few months' break from the craziness, but no, they've given me another hot mess to manage. I'd be looking for another job right now if I thought there was a chance in heaven or hell I could get one that pays enough while letting me work with sane, competent people. There's really no point in even looking; you can't know who you're going to be working for or what the job is really like until you're there. ISTG, I don't know if I can stand this crap for another 15 years, presuming I'm able to actually retire in 15 years.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.
OMG, I spent 11:15-noon getting the kind of bullshit "feedback" I hate the most, and I'm kind of still trying to come down from the adrenaline rush. It wasn't even about my work! But a higher-up not in my chain of command felt the need to completely tear down the work of my #2 for both of us, in ways which were mostly wrong and partly unnecessary. JFC.
