Yikes, -t! I'm glad you're okay. Take care getting home.
TCG's commute suddenly became 15 minutes longer since the schools went back this year, going to same route as always. I was hoping it was temporary, but it appears to be permanent increase in traffic.
I did not brave the crowds at today's parade, but I did get some pictures from where I work: [link]
I am now in not-so-sunny St. Louis. The Moonrise Hotel is pretty amazing; if we ever hold a f2f in St. Louis it would be the perfect venue.
My district has gone from electronic voting machines back to filling in little circles on paper ballots which are then scanned. I guess because that's less likely to be hacked?
(waves hello to Matt)
And yes, the Moonrise Hotel would be wonderful. Have you ever been to the City Museum?
Voted. Now I'm stuck in line at the pharmacy behind a rambunctious dog and standing next to the shelf of laxatives.
The last 2 mornings, it's taken me 5-7 minutes to go from Charles to University on 39th during early hours (pre7:30. And this distance...well, people walking lame elderly dogs cover it faster. I watched them.) Was never an issue before, guess the timing on the University light is fucked. Usually at those times, that's my whole commute, door to office.
Opened a can of worm at work, fun times. Thinking maybe of leveraging a contract change by applying for a tester job. They'd love me, my claim to fame is ops is breaking shit testers have missed. My current boss might love me more (and I prefer ops.) So much is up in the air, I dunno.
Proof I'm 12 years old: election results are scrolling along the bottom of the screen, and the winner of one township's school board is named "Dingus." Yeah, I laughed and laughed.
No word yet on whether we get legal pot.

(waves hi back)
Nope, I've been to see the Blues play a couple of times back when the arena was the Kiel Center, and gone to the Tivoli before in the Delmar Loop, but I haven't had the chance to be touristy much in St. Louis. Is City Museum the one that has people crawling through tunnels and rope ladders and such?

Yes, it is. To make such things even more entertaining, they serve alcohol after 5pm.
