I'm a single undead gal trying to make it in the big city. I have to start somewhere and they're evil here. They don't judge. They've got necro-tempered glass. No burning up. A great medical plan, and who needs dental more than us?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Okay, I can do Wednesday dinner or Thursday lunch, in that case. Just let me know.

Edit: Or Wednesday lunch, depending when you get in.

I do not like this coconut water. I'm pretty sure I've had coconut water that tasted fine, but this does not fit that bill. This cleanse is not doing to well for me taste-wise, one out of four I would drink again (two yet to try).

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

So yesterday we had a public holiday here. It was for the Melbourne Cup. I believe Melbourne is the only place in the world that gets a day off for a horse race. Starting this year too, we got a public holiday on the Friday before the footy grand final.

There are occasions when I love this city. (Of course, I got to spend my Melbourne Cup Day doing an exam, because apparently Melbourne Uni doesn't recognise such frivolity; but the point still stands.)

I guess Derby Day is already on a weekend.

Made it to the end of the day! Popping another benadryl and going home to probably sleep.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Don't fall asleep before you get home!

I left work a few minutes before 5, and it was glorious. My commute was as short as it's ever been, and I had voted, grocery shopped, and picked up the CSA before 6:15! Guaranteed if I had stayed until 5:30 I would never have made it.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Woo hoo, -t!

I could never do the commute I did in DC again. I've been thoroughly spoiled by the 12 steps upstairs-downstairs commute of the last 2 years. I voted too. Felt like I'm tilting at windmills--my area is OVERWHELMINGLY red--but I had to make the attempt.

My commute isn't bad. If all goes according to plan, it's 35 minutes in the morning. But after work during the school year, the bus can be a clusterfuck, and I never feel like walking in the dark, so then it might take an hour.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The little guy's being fussy, and Gary's on a business trip. sigh...

I like my seven-minute commute a whole lot. I do want to experiment with taking the bus, though.

Made it home, gonna take a full strength Benadryl or two (I keep the children's dissolvable a at work so I don't need water and can maybe not crash at my desk) and chill out. Its been several hours, I expect to not get any worse.
