A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

6 person office. 4 ppl are on the same conference call right now- 2 DIFFERENT PHONES ON SPEAKER. I hear the people speaking, hear it come out the speaker on other phone. They are less than 30 ft away from each other and only 1 phone is behind a closed door (which is on other side of my very thin office wall). I hate them.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I hate it when I can hear someone speaking into his phone on a conference, and then hear his voice coming out of someone else's phone a distinct moment later.

And they just annoyed with me for suggesting they could all be on one phone in an office.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

tommyrot, the dragon mask is awesome!

Zenkitty, an email like that would pretty much guarantee that I woul become cranky and rebellious.

We had a busy day yesterday. We visited my grandfather on my dad's side of the family who really isn't doing well health wise. I really wanted him to get a chance to meet ltc. He was charmed by her and more social than usual. So, the whole thing went better than expected. Then we stopped by to see some other relatives who were fighting over who could hold her. Now ltc is looking at me and wondering where the rest of her fan club has gone.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Plus I got blisters on my fingers from using a scissors to cut the cardboard. But it turned out OK.

You are a rock star of dragon mask making! It really looks great.

Oh good lord, msbelle. People are good about not doing that here, that would drive me up a wall. Just hearing one side of a conference call is bad enough, but that is pretty unavoidable in cubicle-land.

Aw, ltc, more holidays coming up, more opportunities for family to adore you!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

"More giant doting humans, Mama! Bring them to me!"

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Pretty sure I'm not making it to any of my morning meetings today even though we've been en route for almost two hours.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I woke up before my alarm this morning (thanks, DST? I guess?), and my reward was a nasty drive through bad traffic. It makes it seem undesirable to be virtuous.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Walter and the cats do mind,

Charlie keeps trying to get me to take him for a walk, but then turning around as soon as he hits open air and gets wet.

I am taking a sick day, because I sound like a frog and have a fever. I already finished one work task that needed to get done, and now I get to go back to bed. YAY

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Thanks for all the dragon mask compliments! I'm going to see if I can hang it from the wall and put LED lights in its eyes. Maybe I'll trigger the lights with a motion sensor, so the lights only come on when someone is moving around in my apartment.
