"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

My plan to attend the RHPS showing in a neighboring town was derailed by my costume strangling me any time I attempt to sit down. I think I'll just stay in and watch the BBC broadcast instead.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Avoiding strangulation is good. I was entertained by the BBC broadcast.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Zen...if you REALLY want a Blucifer, let me know. I can be on the lookout.

I wouldn't mind a small souvenir version! A lawn sculpture would be awesome, wouldn't it? but I couldn't afford it. I just like horses. Even scary-looking blue ones with bad reputations.

I heard a couple trick-or-treaters go by. My neighbor was handing out candy so I don't feel bad for sequestering myself.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

After a slow start, I ended up getting a very large amount of trick and treaters, and completely ran out of candy. I even had to tell one group that showed up after I turned off the lights that I was out of candy. Awesome.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

We had about five trick or treater; they included one ickle Batman barely big enough to walk, Daddy dressed as Robin.

Also Cable (but not internet on the same wire) is down until they can fix it Tuesday. The tech who diagnosed it was having trouble with the servers in the Comcast tech support office.

Excuse: Washington State is getting unusually heavy wind and rain. Umm Comcast techm Washington State gets at least a few days of wind and rain this heavy every year. Much heavier than this every few years or so. Also: I know you have zero responsibility for the failings of your company, so I did not put you on the spot by bad-mouthing them to you. Why do you have to make excuses in response to a friendly hello followed by a straightforward description of the symptoms and error messages?

Finally, after the 19th excuse, my "its all good" attitude wore thin, and I snapped to the point of saying (still I think in a friendly tone of voice) "So Comcast equipment is like cut lettuce? It wilts if left out in the rain?"

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

We had swarms of trick or treaters, but we live across the street from a house that goes all-out, up to stationing people around the yard to provide extra jump scares.

I was wearing a witchy dress and a hooded velvet cloak, and stood on the front stairs. The best part of the night was when a group of adults walked by on the street; one of them pointed me out and commented about "Creepy decoration!"

Then I turned my head. Two grown men took a few steps back and said "FUUUUCK". I win!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's fantastic!

So I did end up having fun at the reception -- my miscellaneous table was great! And the food was great. AND they gave out candy as their favor! Good one.

This is winning.

Yay, Jesse!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Lazy Sunday morning here.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The day's plan was a quick target run, pick up the dog, and then spend the day dealing with laundry and cleaning out some closets, plus take down Halloween. Now though, most of that may be replaced with trying to sleep off the cold I woke up with.
