The entire staff of the sushi restaurant I went to—the sushi chefs, the wait staff, everyone—all were wearing identical Doraemon costumes.
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Zen...if you REALLY want a Blucifer, let me know. I can be on the lookout.
I'm ready and waiting for trick or treaters to start their hunt. We bought a ton of candy since we have no clue what kind of traffic we will get.
This is also Jack's first Halloween. I'm planning on sitting on my porch so kids aren't too scared of him. I did put a sign in the window where he usually hangs out when we are outside that says Bark, BARK, bark, bArK, bark MEANS Happy Halloween.
I wore a leopard costume to work yesterday, which was a big hit. Today, we have just spent several sweaty hours cleaning and organizing the garage. Not exactly fun, but definitely needed.
Tonight, we are ducking out of our Halloweenish duties and going to see Antman at the $2 theater. We missed it not he first go round.
So this happened [link] and then this [link]
Fun night out on the porches handing out candy with Brian, Anna and Sandra with guest appearances by Dolly Parton, a German accented American rhinestone cowboy (his "ammuricah, fuck yeah" was priceless) and camp counselors from Wet Hot American Summer. Kids were mostly awesome, had a few entertainingly altered teens (hard to say if sugar, something more illicit or just drama club kids) and some tweens clearly testing us and their parents' last nerve (handled it t in such a way to diffuse both.)
At one point, handing 4 houses worth of candy from one porch out of laziness. Brian ordered us pizza and we had wine. I love my neighborhood.
We got a lot of trick-or-treaters tonight. We went through 3 bags of candy(30 pieces in each bag) by 8.
I never get trick-or-treaters inside my building but I saw several when I was walking to get my take-out dinner. One woman was giving candy to anyone walking by so I ended up with some Whoppers. Nice! Now I'm watching baseball with a cat curled up on my lap.
My left ear is still clicking and thumping nearly a full week since my last flight. So annoying.

Our friends who live 4 houses down came up and we all sat in our driveway to hand out candy. We had to explain to several parents that we were giving out candy for 2 houses, because the parents thought the kids were scamming candy.
One of our friends was dressed in a full Batman outfit, and one kid caught sight of him and yelled "OH MY GOD MOM IT'S BATMAN!!!!" Best reaction ever.
t edit And I *may* have freaked out one kid somewhat when I realized what his outfit was and said "OH MY GOD YOU'RE ROCKET RACOON!!! I loved that movie!!!" Although as he walked away, I heard him say "She knew who I was!"
We have had about 9 trick or treaters. The porch light is still on, but I'd be surprised if any more appear.
In a sign that one of my kids is only Buffista adjacent, when I said I wanted to watch the Buffy Halloween episodes, the response I got was "Turn it back, turn it back. It's a bear". Wrong holiday and misquoted. I have failed.

Oh, Suzi. ::shakes head::
Ben and his girlfriend are dressed as Jackie and Hyde from That 70s Show. Sara was, I quote, "casual Spiderman" in a Spiderman t-shirt and knee socks. I'm in pajamas and watching American Horror Story on my laptop and the game on the TV. With candy!
