Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yikes ND, that's a looong day!

And Rebecca, sending coping~ma to you and cluestick~ma to mac. Ugh! Why is growing up so hard?

Speaking of, went to a high school presentation night at the middle school. I can't believe it's only a year away.

brillig

Uber and Salt Lake City committed kitten cuteness today.

[link]

A cat adoption agency set up 15-minute cuddle breaks and had Uber deliver kittens to offices. The video is highly amusing.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm sorry, msbelle. It's too bad you can't just install a "Are you sure you want to do this?" warning button into Mac's thought process.

He was a "motorcycle crash" victim and all that was just makeup.

I did something like that when we did injuries in my stage makeup class. Freaked my roommate right out.

I've never flown first class. After being in a middle seat on an oversold red eye this weekend I might be willing to pony up for that next time though.

Crap, I just had a student plagiarize part of her paper. Dumb. And she's a really good writer, there was no need to do that. Now she's torpedoed her grade in the class.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

OH, that's too bad.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oy. I have to say, I feel like I did that by accident all the time -- assuming it's a non-referenced section of an article or something. Good thing I was in school pre-Google!

I have an eyeball problem! Wednesday morning as I was getting ready, it was really red, but I thought I had gotten shampoo in my eye, so I just came to work, and it did get better. It's been a little itchy, but OK, and I have allergies anyway. Then last night/this morning, it was super itchy in my sleep and I woke up with it SUPER puffy, but not that gunky and not that red. Again, it's gotten better over the past couple of hours. So I'm thinking it's a physical problem, not viral or bacterial. I hope I'm right not to to the doctor!! Because I ain't got time for that shit. I could make time this afternoon if need be.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Jesse, the last time that happened to me I had a corneal abrasion. Maybe try some anti-redness eyedrops? They've helped immensely in the past.

MAC, damnit. Please stop giving your mother shit to worry about, and start acting like a human with common sense.

ND, good luck in getting through it all.

CJ, funny, but not funny. Glad it was just makeup.

Burrell, that's a shame. I'm also with Jesse (surprise) in that I feel like I did that inadvertently all of the time.

Zen, I'm glad you cancelled. You were only buying your ticket via FinnAir. You weren't actually flying them; the flights would be operated by American and British Airways. Codeshare tickets are tricky if there's any sort of hiccup. I use those types of sites to compare prices, and then try and book the cheapest itinerary on the airline's site itself. Many of the airlines have a price match guarantee, so you might be able to call and have the difference refunded.

edit: I just looked at airfare.com's site. They sell consolidator tickets, which are often not eligible for frequent flyer miles, and are the lowest rung for help in case of irregular operations. I'm really convinced you made the right call for yourself now.

Eye-healing~ma, Jesse. I hope it takes care of itself.

Man, I thought of a good costume idea this morning, but I would need a wig. Mrs. Roper - I have pretty much everything and it would be so comfortable.
