Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I feel like I've heard this story before and then blocked it out.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

oh dear, Liese!

Burrell, I think it was you that recommended TJ's Greens Beans & Grains? I'm trying it for lunch today - nom!

Yes it was me, glad you like it too. Very much my kind of comfort food.

Speaking of comfort food, the former cream puff shop up at the corner is now a tonkatsu-style noodle shop. So much yum! And walking distance too. This could be significantly more dangerous than the cream puffs were.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Look, you're not going to do worse with the wedding gifts than the incredibly racist mammy cookie jar we received, so...

Yeah, not even if I tried!

I had the craziest call at the end of the day with someone who I think just lost it, but really sounded like she had been drinking. She has apparently HAD IT with her job.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Look, you're not going to do worse with the wedding gifts than the incredibly racist mammy cookie jar we received, so...

My ex-fiance's mother had a huge collection of such memorabilia. Everything from Mammy cookie jars to Little Black Sambo advertising tins, and it was displayed all over the house, as if it was just freaking fine and a normal sort of thing to collect. She thought that because I was from the South I would enjoy her collection. It was my first clue as to what an awful person she was. (She really was.)

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Nature just posted an article giving evidence that Alzheimer’s is caused by fungal infection: [link]

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yeah, that's very interesting.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mm, noodles.

Yeah, not even if I tried!

I feel the urge to put this out there - nobody take that as a challenge, ok? Let's just all give wedding gifts that are Not That Bad.

I did try some of the pumpkin spice pumpkin seeds, chewing carefully on the other side of my mouth, and they are pretty damn good!

Tomorrow's MARATHON DAY!! I've borrowed the tambourine and am filling cans with pennies for Anna ( next door) because she wanted noisemakers too. Will probably see the leaders on the way back from market.

Pumpkin has been cone free for 40 minutes. Of course, she's bundled up in the blanket, asleep. But she did some acceptable washing.

Sara, thanks for talking to my mom on fb. I swear they all think I am like a day away from the deep dark blues.
