After the utter mess of the GWB presidency and their behavior during Obama's presidency, why on Earth would you expect anything else? When was the last time you saw the Republican leadership put country over party politics?
I don't know. I keep hoping that some point they'll start behaving like rational human beings again. No matter which way you lean politically, this country needs (at least) two sane political parties to challenge one another while doing what they honestly feel is best for the country.
Unfortunately the GOP has seems to have abandoned everything but the challenge part.

My drive into work wasn't terrible, but I'm ranty about all the faculty who have been making requests of my staff because they can't/won't come in today -- Yo! Staff has the same screwed up commute, so don't expect them to cover for you!
