Same.
So on the down side, it's raining again. On the upside, it has washed away the birdshit on my office window! So that's nice.
It's all gray drizzle here, too. Blech.
In other random news of my morning, I did not realize (or had forgotten) the head of the EPA is from Boston! Until I heard her on NPR this morning, and she has the best accent. Also her name is Gina McCarthy, which is a totally classic Boston name, because everyone here is Irish and/or Italian.
What's interesting to me (though, as always, the plural of anecdote is not data) is I have a number of friends and family members who typically vote Republican who are backing Bernie this time around (and not in a "He'll be easier to beat by our guy" way). I've also got a few who are probably staying home on Election Day because they don't like any of the GOP offerings, but could never bring themselves to vote for a Democrat.
On the other hand, I've got one uncle who is hardcore for Trump, so you can't win them all.
Huh. I guess I have a Boston name, too
I think it only fully becomes a Boston name when you say "McCaahhhhthy."
Heh. There is an R in mine to drop.
I'm supporting Bernie in the primary because I think his vision would really improve people's lives in a meaningful way. No, he wouldn't be able to get it through congress, but electing him might help move things in that direction.
I expect Hillary to get the nomination and she'll definitely get my vote in the general if she does. I don't dislike Hillary by any means, and I find the idea of Bill being First Lady to be really satisfying. I don't think she will be able to work with congress either though.
Until more representatives and senators are more worried about general elections instead of being challenged from the right in the primaries, then I don't see any reason from them not to block everything a democratic president tries to accomplish.
