So I got my smoke-up-the-ass political explanation about the job, which basically came down to "everything was up in the air last Wednesday when we spoke so we couldn't say anything, but it all magically became clear by Monday when we wrote the thing posted online on Tuesday." Now I get to wait at least 12 hours and politely resign my candidacy!
