Nice, Gud!

Okay, you guys. I'm going outside to Walgreens to restock my supply of DayQuil, NyQuil, and Mucinex. Wish me luck.

OPRAH LOVES BREAD.

So do I. But not as much as pasta and neither are great for me because I have no willpower. If I'm going to have bread, fwiw, I'm going to make the bread (last week I made the most amazing ricotta loaf as well as some beautiful but bland sticky rolls) because it's satisfying. But after the gluten fest weekend I felt bloated and ill.

So go on, Oprah, love your bread, but I'm still going to sit over here with my bread-little world.

My current obsession is croquembouche! Fun to say. Pretty. Perhaps tasty?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Apple fritter achieved! I also took three bags to the PTA thrift shop, two to the dumpster, and a bunch of cardboard to recycling. Not all of it was from the spare room. There's plenty more to do, but I put a satisfying dent in the chaos. And now I'm off to google croquembouche.

I made a vegan pozole that needed more heat but otherwise suited this gray, blustery day.

Totally tasty! Especially if you make the filling chocolate, like I did that one time.

I did go for my walk and shopping and then, on the way home, my neighbor drove by me and offered me a ride! So less of a walk, but still very pleasant.

Headache, nauseous, too many loads of laundry, and exhaused.

Sorry, Suzi.

I have managed to wash my sheets and put them back on my bed. I went to Walgreens for meds. I went to the grocery store for some lemon ginger tea. I've got a load of laundry in because I've been sweating through all my pajamas. Once the laundry is put away, I'm not doing anything else productive today, because I'm still sick.

I intended to do my taxes this weekend, but that's clearly not happening.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Took two bags of books to the library and returned stuff that needed to be returned. Now I'm trying to deal with insurance paperwork.

I've....sat on my couch with a heating pad, made a quesadilla, and caught up on my stories (aka, Grey's, and in the midst of How to Get Away With Murder).
