I always just Priceline it, because I'm generally interested in staying in midtown, and you can almost always get something decent for $150.
It's a shame that the Library Hotel doesn't give discounts for MLSes, because that totally should be a thing.

I usually stay in The Gem Hotel in Chelsea.
we stayed at the Iroquois by Times Square, it was nice and had a great little cocktail bar.
What makes for a fun morning at work? When one of the primary servers that runs your international business decides to hang and doesn't want to reboot properly! Our customers can't access things, and we can't access the tools to fix things! It's back up now, but it's fix the fallout time.
