I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

...I'm just tired and wish I could be with my mom. Carolyn opened her eyes and focused on Molly as mom was telling a childhood misadventure story. Molly's gotta go back home for a week or two, so it'll just be my mom, and it'll be hard. She's probably the best sister to be there right now, and I'm not just saying that because she's my mom. Somehow being the family goofball translated into being the most level-headed and least prone to engage in drama (albeit Midwestern stoic drama, the things the sisters & bro get into a snit over, OY) but it will be hard for her.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That definitely sounds like a challenge, meara. Layers? Versatile layers?

I can see why people who can have staffs. Having people for stuff would get a lot more stuff done.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You have a lot going on, Sara. Things can slide. Can you go out there?

There's just like $5K left, and I'll be done with paying for grad school!!

So jealous, Jesse!

I will accept that the way the cats keep shutting off the laptop as I am trying to post may as well be a sign that it's time to be off the internet...

No point in going out unless my mom wants me too. Also, fucked up minimal PTO now. Which is rage inducing.Circle back to resume & division convo.

This is bringing up a whole buncha parental mortality issues that I'm trying to stuff down, but it's still occupying a lot of brain space.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Heh, you guys.

sarameg, I'm so sorry for your mother, and for you. This must be awful.

It's awesome that Sparky can line Burrell up with tutoring resources, though. Bravo for the great Buffista network.

Me, I'm utterly wrecked: I had a cancerous lesion removed from my nose today. I thought it was going to be no big deal, but apparently it had been there, under the skin, for far longer than I knew. So it was big, and I had a divot in my nose the size of my thumbnail! She stitched it all back together, but now I look like I lost a fight with Wolverine and my entire face has swelled up. I'm NOT going to work tomorrow, and there's a good chance I will wake up with one eye swelled shut. Joy.

Back to the ice.

Oh, btw, the cake yesterday came out great. But I'll have to figure out how to make it in smaller proportions: I had a lot of leftover batter, even after making four cupcakes.
