Jayne: Here's a little concept I been workin' on. Why don't we shoot her first? Wash: It is her turn.

brillig

Connie, I have the same problem with small storage boxes.

They're so damned cute! And if I get enough boxes and bins, everything will be sorted and make sense!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mmm, storage containers.

Yay, Tribble (and sarameg for not being the Tribble-keeper)

Woohoo, meara, for getting home earlier than expected and even more so for new job with more money!

I hope you are sleeping, Zen.

Man, Gray's Anatomy had me all sad and self-reflective and then the end left me in the dust in a way that takes me feel safe to have another glass of wine and watch Scandal. I don't know how they can call this a "Bordeaux blend" when it's made in California, but it's tasty.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Steph, I"m glad your brother's getting through it. He's lucky you could go out there.

He's had a pretty good day today -- he hasn't had a beer in 26 hours now -- but got kind of shaky towards the end of the day. That may have been a blood sugar issue, because he had some fruit juice and a baked potato and felt somewhat better.

We're currently watching Family Feud and debating how long it would take for our family to bust out into a fistfight because of how bad our answers would be. We think it would happen before the first commercial break.

Joining this support group. It really is a disease.

Aw. Tribble. Congrats on being cute for hairless apes who will give you a great life.

Steph, I'm glad and relieved that things are looking up for your brother.

billytea, I love your parenting. Deeply impressive.

Congrats, meara!

msbelle, I don't care what those stoopid corporate knobs say, WE all know you are outstanding in your field...and, indeed, in all things.

Awww, Tim just texted me a picture of Kato sleeping with one of my t-shirts. I miss my pup.

Aw.

Scandal: OMG Olivia's black leather jacket at the end! I am excited about what that says about where her character is going.

Yes, that's my takeaway. I stand by it.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww, Steph. The Biscuit has my pajama top in the kennel with him, but I miss him too! And my boy.

Liese, I hope you get a lot out of this conference, including time to recharge your batteries.

But yeah, I'm doing pretty good so far, I think partially due to talking it out here. Like, I just stepped out now to talk to the SO for a while and then decided to come on back to the hotel to work on music for a little bit before I head back out if the roomie is still over there. But really good day today and tomorrow everything starts legit.

Good for you, -t!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Drew, I'm sorry your sister is trying to take advantage of you like this.

Steph, I'm glad your brother is doing better. May this relapse be a productive part of his process in creating a sober and prosperous life for himself.

Good luck, flea.

Coding and Sleeping

My son wants me to look at some compile problems he's having with java while trying to mod a video game. I'm feeling kinda proud.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

So, there might be a plus to this only child thing.

Steph- I am so happy to hear about your brother!

Much career ~ma for flea!

My review is not for awhile, but they have implemented a university-wide online system instead of just having each school or department do what they want. So for many years, my boss has asked that I create specific, measurable goals that are within my power. This year we have been told to make our goals just our job description. So, for example, my "goal" is "register students in student information system" where in previous years my goal would have been something like "work with IT department and register to streamline registration so that students can be notified more quickly". It is weird to get used to.
