Thanks, Steph. I'm concerned I might freeze to death, of course.
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
The weather isn't bad, and the summers can be downright tropical. (That happens when you live in a river valley.)
I'm sorry about Tim's loss, Steph. But I'm glad your brother's doing better.
I'm sitting in the bathroom with my laptop and my cat. There's been a tornado warning for about 45 minutes, and it's supposed to last for another half hour. Apparently a funnel touched down just north of town. It's a work from home day, and I'm glad I can be here and not wondering if my cat is ok.
Dana, Highland Heights is metro Cincinnati and the home of Northern Kentucky University. I have friends who teach there and live adjacent. We do have actual seasons, including winter.
Everyone I know in NC is posting pictures from [insert interior windowless space of your choice] including all the people at Calli's workplace, where she is not.
Teppy, once your brother detoxes, is he going to do 12-step or go to a clinic or something? Does he have a sponsor?
We're under tornado watch here. And despite having heard no thunder, pool is closed...until the part of the storm with actual lightning is due to arrive. The fuck?
Oh and my aunt hasn't been responsive in 4 days. They are thinking ICU dementia, but are still ruling things out. Fucking fuck.
Teppy, once your brother detoxes, is he going to do 12-step or go to a clinic or something? Does he have a sponsor?
He has a therapist who he's just started seeing, but he doesn't like AA. He's found another recovery group out here, but I can't remember the name of it. I don't think he has a sponsor yet, though.
Oh sarameg, I am so so sorry. My heart breaks for your family
Timelies all!
World, give Buffistas and their families a break!
Meanwhile, the little guy has an ear infection. He's doing better today than he was last night, so that's good.
Yikes, Calli! Stay safe.
That goes for everyone in NC. On the East Coast. Everyone. Just stay safe, y'all.
I'm so sorry, sarameg.
