Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh lord, I'm *that* person, who tells you to do the thing you were going to do anyway--I hate that person, I wind up then *not wanting* to do the thing I was going to do.

Yep. My sister is that person. I didn't realize there was a whole genus of them. Tells you what to do just as you're about to do it. She's basically just being a micromanaging mommy at everyone. She doesn't even realize she's doing it at this point, I don't think. She's actually told me to put on my shoes before going outside.

Everybody else feeling okay? Sniffles? Fever? General malaise? Sending better~ma, and for those of you doing fine, keep that up, m'kay?

I have sniffles and general malaise. Thanks for the ~ma.

I can't remember what day it is. This morning I woke up thinking it was Wednesday, even got ready for the Wednesday meeting. This afternoon I spent a little while thinking it was Sunday. Is this a specific form of dementia?

Part of my morning ritual is to remind myself what day it is. Sometimes I have to check the computer to be sure, then I pull up a website for date and time to double check.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, it is not on you to remember who knows what, Tep. Just like Captain Lance said, we are only as sick as our secrets.

My new work 3-month calendar for 2016 has weeks starting on Monday instead of Sunday, which is totally reasonable except I'm not used to it so I am always confused about either what day of the week it is or what the date is. Always.

There's a difference, I think, between telling someone to do something they are going to do anyway, and giving someone permission to do something they are going to do anyway. Subtle, but important.

Y'all, I got to see the nomination for this award thing and it's signed by EVERYONE in my department. I t heart my coworkers

-t, they appreciate you! As they should.

Yeah, really glad for my cellphone telling me the date and time. And keeping up with all my other crap. How did I manage before smartphones? Oh, right, badly.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

For the first time in a very long time, I'm going to take an actual national holiday off work. I've asked for Memorial Day off so I can have a four-day weekend like most of the rest of the country. So strangely decadent.

Right? Between my phone reminding me of most everything and autopay taking care of the bills, my masquerade as a responsible adult is far more successful than it otherwise would be.

Four-day weekend? I don't think most of the country gets that. But you should enjoy yours, Connie!

Always Anti-fascist!

This particular Democrat isn't wild about smokeless smoking, but compared to not voting or saying "I seen it," I'm picking my battles.

Dana, while moving someone's purse out of a chair might not be rude, I definitely think moving their lunch TO THE FLOOR without asking is!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I took yesterday as a sick day. A true sick day, rather than one where I work from home all day like last week.

Between my phone reminding me of most everything and autopay taking care of the bills, my masquerade as a responsible adult is far more successful than it otherwise would be.

I know, right?! Technology is the elaborate scaffolding I've put in place to prevent myself from failboating. People keep calling me organized, and I have to stop myself from telling people that I've bamboozled them.

Dana, while moving someone's purse out of a chair might not be rude, I definitely think moving their lunch TO THE FLOOR without asking is!

I'm with Matt. Putting your purse on the floor doesn't twig me, but putting your LUNCH on the floor rather than your desk? That's strikes me as rude.
