Yeah, seriously. I feel less worried now that his blood pressure is normal (less worried in the sense that there's one less thing that could be catastrophic; I'm still worried in a general sense), but he needs more help than just me making sure he only drinks 1 beer every 90 minutes. He's not eating, for one thing. I'm not going to make him eat if it will make him sick, but if it's going to make him sick, he needs to be in the hospital.

Oh Steph, sending lots of strength and love your way. He is so fortunate to have you there.
Teppy, that's just so difficult. I'm sorry that this is falling on you.
Steph, I am so sorry that your brother is going through this, and I'm so sorry that you are going through this. And thank God you are there to go through it with him. I hope he gets into treatment soon.
As for his wife, one of the hardest things about going through a crisis is having to deal with other people's failure to deal with it. I wish she was there to help you.
I would like to sleep all day or barring that, eat all the cheese.
Sign me up!
Hang in there, Steph. I'm hoping you can get him under medical care ASAP, alcohol withdrawal is fucking scary.
I don't want to say "don't be mad at his wife" because you are allowed to be angry at anything and everything, Tep, but I do want to say that her not choosing to rush home is valid. You don't know everything that's gone into that decision.
On a completely different note - I got that employee of the month thing for January. So that's feels pretty good.
Oh man, Steph. Hang in there. I am so glad you're there for him.
In other TV news, Downton! My only comment about Tom Branson is: "I am not having sex with Spike, but I'm starting to think that you might be."
You are not wrong, Jesse: [link] (ETA: That link is slightly spoilery for last night's Downton.)
They make a v. pretty couple.
Good going -t!!!!
Teppy, I'm hoping the next few days go as easy as possible. I'm headed to Utah tomorrow/Wednesday but if you are still in Colorado when I get back, I'd love to treat you to dinner or some kind of break.

That's definitely true. And she lives with this every day and I don't.

So cool!
