Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Tomorrow we head off to Boston on Amtrak, for Boskone. It will be the little guy's first train ride. Given how wiggly he can be, 8 hours on a train will be interesting.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I came home early due to a fever and feeling blargh. I brought the kids with me, but Grace is not super relaxing. So I'm in bed on the laptop and about to nap.

When I went downstairs to pick up Grace, her class was walking back from social studies. There was a boy who was walking with her and holding her hand. (The kid is significantly bigger than she is) He noticed her shoe was untied, so he bent down and tied it for her. There are some seriously sweet kids out there.

Our wings are not tired

Family is hard.

I've now have my lawyer involved in trying to figure out what is going on.

Ugh.

My aunt had a mild stroke while they were transporting her to the acute care hospital in Portland (from WallaWalla, I think) Can't really determine the impact as she's still under pretty heavy sedation for pain because in addition to broken ribs (kinda partly as a result) she's got pneumonia. Mom's probably heading up there next week so Molly (daughter) can have a break from this and go home for a bit. Her husband has a big trial coming up and has been solo parenting all this time.

Goddamnit.

Compassionately intolerant

There are some seriously sweet kids out there.

What a wonderful visual. And a welcome reminder that kindness is ageless.

I've now have my lawyer involved in trying to figure out what is going on.

I'm sorry you had to do this, ND but in my personal experience, it is the best course of action. Wishing you the best possible outcome.

Good luck and speedy recovery to your aunt, sarameg.

If anyone can recommend to me decent unfussy restaurants and cafes (bonus if they do delivery )around Vibra in Portland, can you email me? Board name .1 on the gmail. Mom's gonna mostly be at the hospital with my aunt, but giving her some options she doesn't have to think hard about will be good. Also, I can make arrangements for her. Hospital lists some stuff nearby, but she's not gonna be thinking of that too much and she dislikes driving after dark in new places.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm sorry, Drew and sara. How stressful for both of you.

Ping me if it doesn't work out, meara. I have no money, but I work for myself and just finished up a major project.

I'm a faint maybe. I have all my vaccinations and I'm pretty sure Chile doesn't require a tourist visa, but my mother has been talking about coming to visit me in late March, which probably would overlap with your travel.

I've now have my lawyer involved in trying to figure out what is going on.

When getting a lawyer involved, the earlier the better. My dad is under a ton of stress from certain family members to force my grandfather's wife out of her house so they can finalize everything from his estate. We're ready to never speak to these family members again.

Drew and I seem to be sharing bad news timing. Uck. Let's resolve to stop that.

In other odd timing, tonight Andy's adoption listing went away. Since he was in foster, very likely means a home now. Will check in with my resources.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

It is A DAY. You have heard about Jack and my woes. He seems better, hopefully it was just a coincidence.

K-Bug seems to be in the early stages of the ick and then had a panic attack at work so they sent her home early and told her to take tomorrow off.

CJ is mostly recovered though he is still lacking any energy from not really eating the last couple of days. Today and tomorrow are Fire Academy days. Today was his mid term, tomorrow is forcable entry, so hard work.

AND CJ's girlfriend collapsed at school during rehearsal. It looks like she has an ovarian cyst but they are still testing. She has been asking for him so her mom called and off he went to her side.
