Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Damnit, I knew I missed something...

meara, I'm sorry that it's not working out the way you had planned. I hope there's a way you can make it work for you.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think it's still a pseudonym, Sophia. It's not the actual name of the author, since the author is two people. It's an odd choice, though.

Good luck for something to work out, meara!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yesterday was one of those days, objectively it was not bad but emotionally it was terrible and I am running out of bandwidth. DH isn't home from dropping off Frances yet, which may mean he's talking to her math teacher. Thst would be a vid thing since bet failure to grok math is one of the things weighing on me.

Suzi, I would seriously go after the Grease Monkey franchise. If overfilling the oil caused the engine to seize up, then they are responsible. Don't let it go.

CJ talked with them yesterday and the manager was going to talk with the owner. CJ is in class all day today but if he doesn't have any contact from them today, I will be showing up AT Grease Monkey tomorrow raise a stink.

meara, it sounds like things are moving in a more positive direction than last night.

bonny, I don't recall if you mentioned petsit here or over in Bitches, but thank you. I have an inquiry into a local place that is certified through them. Is about $20/visit to feed, water, scoop, and maybe snuggle (if they allow it) the cats about right cost wise?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Sounds like maybe something will work out, meara. At least I hope so.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

On the bright side, it looks like we're going to pay off the mortgage this month.

Wow! That's impressive. How are you doing generally, Gud?

Also one reply-all from somebody telling everyone not to reply-all.

The best kind!!

I want to crawl into a cave and sleep forever.

Same. I just had a funny conversation at the beginning of a meeting about how short weeks fuck us up and we expected today to be Friday. Luckily, it was with my boss and a peer, so I didn't have to feel like the uninvested slacker.

I'm only in the office two days this week and that still kinda feels like too much. Kinda.

You guys, my day was just OK until I went into the kitchen and there was leftover soda from something, including Fresca. I love Fresca!! And kind of forgot about it. If it's still there later in the afternoon, I'm going to take the whole bottle.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Our petsitter charges $15/visit, but she lives right in our neighborhood, so travel time is negligible for her.

Compassionately intolerant

Suzi, yep, that is what we charge per visit for cat sits, including what you outlined.

Sometimes we do two visit per day, depending on the client's assessment of the kitty's needs.

I hate the ones that say we should just go every other day. 30 minutes out of 48 hours doesn't seem right.

I always ask if there will be toys available, or if the sitter should...um...sit...and read until the kitty comes to them. We really try to work with the personality of the creature.
