Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Our wings are not tired.

About time, Kalshane! Delighted to hear your good news.

Oh ND, I am sorry you have to deal with this. I have a deep fear that I will lose all 3 of my siblings when I lose my mom. They give me every reason to believe they will treat my step-dad horribly and it won't end well.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Thank you! It was as spur of the moment as these things can be outside of Vegas. I asked her a couple weeks ago what she wanted to do celebrate our 10th anniversary and she half-jokingly said "We could get married." I don't think she was actually expecting me to say. "Okay."

Unfortunately we couldn't do it on our actual anniversary (which is Friday) because they were already booked solid, but today was close enough.

Well, it was a nice idea. And since I don't think anyone's ever actually moved to Canada (or anywhere else, most likely) because of an election, I doubt many people would seriously consider it.

One of my (very conservative) co-workers has a gay, liberal twin brother that moved to New Zealand after W was re-elected. He thinks of it as a joke but I told him I'm actually impressed with his brother's sticking to his convictions.

Serial:

Sorry to hear about everything you're having to deal with, ND.

Congrats, Kalshane! My brother and SIL did similar. Except, you did tell your family, right?

I forgot to pay my phone bill last month. Oops. The thing is, I can't find the email. Which is suspect. Normally I pay BGE & Verizon at the same time. Paid BGE.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Congrats, Kalshane!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yay, Kalshane!!

We told my immediate family ahead of time (my parents and my grandmother were our witnesses) but my-now-wife didn't want to tell her family until afterwards because they would have insisted on making it into a giant ordeal with everyone in attendance and she didn't want to deal with it.
