Hey, *we* aren't the ones throwing rocks. We're just sitting here!
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Heh.
I appreciate you guys putting up with all my crazy moving thoughts - it's so great to get your perspectives, since we're not really talking about it to anyone else.
Also, the low key wooing is nice for the ego.
Cincinnati has Jungle Jim's, which has a whole lot of British foods that I haven't seen anywhere else in the US except at British specialty stores!
Man, this is making me a little sad that M didn't get the job he applied for this year... in Baltimore. (I don't think I said anything about it here. It was a long shot, in the way that all academic jobs are, but less so than most of the others he's tried for over the years. Sigh.) It was so nice to fantasize about living near all the Baltimoristas! Though I would miss Nashville's Buffistas (and honorary Buffistas) too.

And the cheese. Oh god, the cheese.
And everything else.
I would woo Nora and Tom, but I believe they would hate it in S Florida, so I won't. Sigh.
I have given up on accomplishing anything today. The world has been too much with me the last little while, I just want to stay in my bathrobe and eat soup and read murder mysteries. Fortunately, that is a viable option and I am taking it.
I won't even try to tell Nora to come to Napa-adjacent California. You know all the draws, but you also know the expensive. It's more diverse than you might think, though, especially in the slightly less expensive areas. Which are also not convenient at all for Tom-type jobs.
I support that choice, -t. I've done much the same this weekend.
Nora and Tom should consider Charlottesville! For diversity, Southern hospitality, and mild winters, C'ville is pretty good, and we have beer and tech, too! And housing is reasonable.
