this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

"Is it gas or is it a phone call?"

WAY better than "Is it gas or a heart attack?"

Also, Happy Birthday, Connie! I'm so jealous of your Vegas trip! When do you leave?

When do you leave?

Tuesday. Back Friday. Mid-week is cheaper and less crowded, especially just after a partying holiday.

edit: Plus I have my tax refund back, for added Vegas fun.

Always Anti-fascist!

People have been saying the "bad winner=revolution" thing for ages, so I think it's BS.(Also, yes, the thought is frightening, but to me it seems like a thing certain men like to talk ex cloaca about.) Fully intend to support nominee after a vigorous contest. Nobody asked you, Bloomberg.(Yes, I prefer him to what passes for "mainstream GOP" but that's not really a compliment, and somebody thinks a lot of himself)

I'm amazed, I got my refunds back within less than a week. I love the internet. Except I turned right around and paid my property taxes, and after doing the math I realized that I'm still a bit short of cash. It's going to take me a while to build up my reserves again: turns out that getting a dog, taking dog classes, and hiring a dog walker are really putting a dent in my ready cash. Sigh.

Inertia and "Well, I'm doing OK, so I don't want to rock the boat" are powerful things. People need to listen to "Don't Get Fooled Again." And just because there's a revolution doesn't meet the correct people will win.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Does anyone or anyone know some one who collects dolls? I have some Madame Alexander and Effanbee dolls most with original boxes that I am getting rid of. I can send pictures. They are all from the 70s - 90s I think.

I need to do my taxes, but I'm dragging my feet because I have to file in two states and figure out all my moving expenses.

Aw, my grandma used to have Madame Alexander dolls.

A car crashed into the Y? Madness!

I just took a camera class I signed up for but I was sorely disappointed. Wanted to learn more about "getting out of manual mode" but literally the first half of the class (an hour!!) was aimed at 80 year olds who've never used a digital camera and need to know how to use an SD card. Wtf.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yipes, sarameg! I hope there isn't too much damage.

Does anyone or anyone know some one who collects dolls?

I used to know someone, but she's gone. My MiL sold my old Sasha dolls for something crazy like $400 each.

We still have most of her antique doll collection and have no idea what to do with it. She sold most of her big French dolls while she was alive and we gave the last one to her sister, but we have all the little dollhouse dolls and furniture. And a couple dollhouses. So, um, if you manage to find a reputable dealer, LMK. I promise to do the same.
