Well, that was a brutally cold walk to market. Windchill of 7. Even with layers, wind was awful. Getting feeling back in my fingers before I go do my shopping.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

If said author is on the other side of the planet that is an understandable mistake. But still a mistake. Come on, author.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would not even respond until Sunday afternoon, unless there's some kind of special arrangement.

Happy Galentine's, my friends (I include male friends in the sentiment, at least today; platonic friendship between genders is almost as much in need of celebration in today's society as female friendship). I'll have waffles to celebrate later. I need to get to Tai Chi pretty soon, and that means finishing this cup of coffee and getting dressed, not making waffles. Alas.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yes, happy Galentine's Day! Or I guess Palentine's Day for the menfolk too.

I am sick today, so no Tai Chi or stretch class for me. I haz a wee sadz because I'm too sick to exercise but not too sick to grade, and there's grading that needs to be done.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Oooh, Galentine's Day waffles.

Oh, I forgot to make plans for Galentine's Day. Instead I have dog class and a play to usher for. I did however go to dinner last night with a friend, and we talked about our respective mothers' deaths. Which is very comforting, to share with someone who's been through it.

I am inspired by GBBO to get better at my baking, so I'm going to try to make some pie crusts today, and see if I can get the texture right. It's always a bit too dry or something...

brillig

I now qualify for older adult housing complexes of 55+. Yay? Upside, no kids (or few kids). Downside, they're either too expensive or where I don't want to live. Maybe I should re-up that AARP memebership.

So driving to the store, I thought I was having an intense digestive incident.

Turns out, my phone was in my pocket against my lower belly, buzzing with multiple texts from the Y alerting me to cancellations because the main gym suffered some sort of building damage.

1. That was really weird. 2. Jeez, now really curious what happened to the gym. I guess I'll find out later.

Ooooh, a neighbor posted a car crashed into it! He was under the window when it happened (gym below street level, windows are at the top.) Front tire is resting on the inside sill.Yikes!
