I'm so sorry Drew. Glad you got to see your mother again. If you are sad, your students will be understanding. I've been there before.
In a very selfish way I just hope it isn't today since this is Pix's birthday.
I get this. When my sister was dying, the whole family was hoping quietly that she'd hold on until all the October birthdays passed.
The owner's guide for the "smart slow cooker" is surprisingly slender and the Buffista questions are not in the FAQ. I will have to experiment.

Totally get it. In my grandfather's last illness, we walked into the hospital to be greeted by my niece (about 11 at the time) saying, "But it's my birthday..." I've always been thankful Grandpa held on for one more day so as not to cast a pall over H's b-days forever.
Good luck compartmentalizing today. Good strength to see you through. Much peace. {{{ND}}}
Oh, fun, our lunch and learn is getting contentious.
I just got an email from someone I already don't like who signed it "Truly, [name]." What??? I'm not saying "Best, jesse" makes actual sense, but at least it's a thing people do!!

Yeah, pretentious much??
My grandfather died on my mother, his daughter's, birthday. Which was on Easter Sunday that year, too. They both were hard for a few years.
I would encourage you to think about the obedience training either way. Even if you don't get to a competitive level, it can be really fun and engaging for both you and the dog.
-t, just make sure your wifi crockpot doesn't spend all day looking for food porn
