Well, heck. I'm in San Framcisco for two extra days due to the storm moving across the country. I had been scheduled for the last flight tomorrow (and I never trust the last flight if there are expected cancellations) and due to all the flights already being cancelled and the amount of snow being dumped, I took Frontier's offer to shift my return without added cost. I had been hoping for a mid-day Wednesday flight but everything is booked solid until mid-day Thursday. So...I'm glad I brought some extra clothes and I can stay at my dad's, so it isn't that big of an inconvenience. Just...I miss home.

My parents' dog periodically checks her food bowl during the day, just in case more food has magically appeared.
Whenever Kato comes in the back door, he immediately checks his food bowl. I admire that optimism.
Aw. Maybe you can get in a little fun?
Jesse, it's not the coming and going, it is putti g his face into my face, meowing, and scratching on the closet door. He's trying to wake me up is the point.
Oh yeah, then no.
Ban him!
ION, I am getting fried lunch that I very well will regret, but it is the only thing that sounds good.
Well heck. I had one lunch date planned, then canceled, a different lunch date planned, that canceled. So, fine, I'll just stay in and eat. I have tentative dinner plans but he hasn't been confirmed. I'm very glad I have a free place to stay, but I need distraction from here too. Plus, my dad's wife's nephew is here for the next few days too. He is in his early 20's and doesn't talk. I mean, he can. He just chooses not to. Which makes things all the more awkward. Right now he is in the kitchen eating his lunch and I don't feel like dealing with him, so I'm waiting and hoping he leaves some food for the rest of us.
Things I can't say elsewhere: I hope it wasn't my friend who made up the "Kiss Goodbye to MS" campaign, because I feel like that phrase is super awkward.
Ugh, Suzi, that sounds awkward. May he not locust the fridge.
H is cooking a pot of pintos today--the scent is driving me crazy, but we'll wait till tomorrow to eat them, so they can sit in the fridge overnight. They taste better the next day. For tonight, there's cracker-thin crust frozen spinach pizza with added black olives, mushrooms, crumbled turkey sausage, sliced mozzie, garlic, basil, and fennel.
Day after tomorrow's dinner will be chicken breast chunks quick stir-fried in olive oil with garlic, ginger, onion powder, black pepper, thyme and rosemary, steamed, and then seared in the pan glaze, served with dilled ginger sweet potatoes and brown rice, with sliced raw apple and walnut pieces for dessert. Nom.
That all sounds delicious.
