I hope her people find her soon!
I think I officially have a cold (rather than the more generic feeling lousy that I could not quite ascribe to anything specific) because I have hit the point where the inside of my head actually feels cold and I think to myself "is this why it's called a cold?"
Which makes me feel a little better about missing Suzi. Glad y'all were able to get together, and that your dad is taking the car troubles in stride.
He's filling out his initial paperwork online and keeps asking me stuff from the other room, like "It's asking if I'm in pain, but the pain gets better with oxycodone, so I don't know if I should say yes."
Me: "If you need opiates to not have pain, your answer is YES!"
Him: "It wants to know if I've had recent surgery."
Me: "You had a root canal Friday."
Him: "But it was only the first part of the root canal."
Me: "IT WAS STILL SURGERY OH MY GOD."
Him: "I want them to have correct information."
Me: "The dentist is not going to ONLY base your treatment on what's on this form; he'll probably ask you things that you can answer in person, so you can explain in more detail if it's called for."
Him: "Yeah..." [trails off like he thinks I'm talking crazy]
I love this man, but sometimes I *so* don't understand how his brain works.
I had the wonderful pleasure of having dinner with Matilda, David, JZ, shrift, and Sylvie.
It was great to meet you, finally! I'm sorry about the stress with the car, but the tacos and cocktails were delicious.
I have been to the farmer's market this morning, mostly to buy eggs since I still have a lot of vegetables to eat from last week's run. I have a Swiss chard, prosciutto, and goat cheese frittata in the oven. I'll cook up some savory oatmeal later. I should go back outside and walk while the sun is still out.
Oy Steph, I know that feeling

That sounds delicious!
Oh, which reminds me: the roast was just as advertised, easy peasy and really delicious
I think we have discussed Soylent here - the new meal replacement drink that is supposed to give you all the nutrients you need. My dad is a Soylent advocate. He drinks it for breakfast and lunch and says it has been an easy change for him and he is pushing me toward it. I can't afford it, right now. I am so bad about eating breakfast and lunch that there isn't really a cost trade off of me not buying those foods and buying Soylent instead.
Has anyone else tried it?

Why are you bad about eating breakfast and lunch?
Edit: Are you more likely to 'eat' breakfast and lunch if you have something easy to reach for, like Soylent?
I don't know what the difference was between the new bottle of bathroom cleaner and the half-full one I'd been using, but the former almost instantly cleared up the stains that I'd been scrubbing the latter on for weeks without success. (Seriously, I'd been considering things like brushing Coca Cola into my toilet to see if it would work better than foaming bleach!)
I tried the Coke approach, it didn't make much difference.
But maybe my stains are tougher.
