Hey, everything just caught up to me all at once. Woo.

Work has BLOWN this week (not just the horrible authors from hell, but also my boss has been diligently sending me feedback of all my errors -- stupid, tiny shit, like hyphens, and every time my inbox pings I want to punch the screen, because -- HYPHENS??? really???). We still don't know if Tim has rheumatoid arthritis or gout. And I'm actually doing a terrible job at handling the fact that my cousin died (she was, as it turns out, only 8 months younger than me, which freaks me out HARD).

I would take an Ativan at this point, because yeah, I am a hot mess, but I have work that I have to turn in by a certain time, and Ativan would make me fall asleep because I'm already sleepy. So I'm drinking more coffee to try to counteract the existing sleepiness, but I think it's a bit counterproductive.

And I'm not sure if my teeth hurt from my sinuses being unhappy about this storm coming, or I've been grinding my teeth in my sleep from stress. Or, you know, both.

This week, man. It is ON THE LIST.

And I texted my brother to tell him all that, and if he replies that I should meditate, I am going to get on a plane, fly to Colorado, and kick him in the shins.

Definitely kick him in the shins. Maybe you could outsource to your SIL? As a proxy?

I need to do some work, and figure out what I'm packing for this dance weekend, and then drive to Vancouver with some straight boys. Um.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Her sick family may be why she's stressed, but it's not the reason she's being a dick.

HYPHENS??? really???

um, sorry. I apologize on behalf of hyphen-aware editors everywhere. There are probably people in India right now screaming, "HYPHENS??? really???" at my edits too. I've relaxed on the hyphens a lot lately, though, I swear.

I hear you. I did a terrible job handling Ginger's death. She was only a couple years older than my sister and that's freaking me out now as I write it.

Yup. I have a lot of ill will towards her.

I'm just at the point where, if the only correction the proofreader had to one of my articles was to insert a hyphen in a word, why does my boss need to email the marked-up proof to me? It's so fucking minor. I'd be less cheesed about it if this weren't such a bad week. It would still be annoying, but I'd just read the email, roll my eyes, think "Hyphens. Right." and move on.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My university is closing at 2. We're just getting a few inches of snow. (Well, my old university seemed to pride itself on stupidly staying open even when everything else in the state was closed. They were once open when there was almost two feet of snow.)

Yeah, but after how stupid everything was Wednesday morning, I bet they looked at the timing of the snow (evening rush hour-ish) and the fact that there are students who need to drive south and east to get home, and those areas are supposed to get hit worse, and decided that, hell, it's Friday, so let's just make it easy on them.

All true.

I mean, I don't know just how bad the eastern/southern counties will end up getting slammed, but I can tell you that *any* snow during evening rush hour means your commute will be unfriggingbelievable. I once had a 4-hour commute from Kenwood to Clifton because it was snowing and people are stupid as hell around here.

I'm happy that I have a garage now where I can park my car. At my old apartment, there was just street parking, so I had to clean snow off my car all the time.

I am stuck in indecision. Someone decide for me. Which should I grade first: geometry homework, geometry quiz, or calculus quiz?
