AB- and the Eat Right for Your Type diet worked for me pretty well.
I eat salt as a snack and my BP is super low. I want to drop 15-20lbs and gain some muscle.
I was a veg for 25 years and then became a poultritarian for 7ish years and it did me no good. Now I'm pretty much vegan after a year of being veg-ish.
My downfall is salty crunch carbs. Me and Frenchie Fries had to break up entirely. I just love him tooooo much.
O+, and though I need All Of The Protein, I also go bonkers if I don't have carbs at least once a day.
I wasn't diagnosed until well into my 30s and I don't really have severe symptoms. It's nice to have an explanation for some of the medical mysteries in my past, though.
I hope getting home is uneventful and easy, Suzi, and your lungs cooperate.
I'm A+, rather than describing my diet as high/low protein or high/low carb, I tend to think of it as high fat. Lots of nuts and nut butters (and even butter butter to be honest) and lots of avocado.
Fastest way for me to put on weight is bread (preferred carb.)So I'm stingy with it. I love it, but cause and effect are pretty damned clear. Also, makes me bloaty-gassy and that's an unpleasant enough experience to watch consumption. Also hardly eat pasta anymore. Stick to veg, dairy in the form of cheese and minimal meat. Actually, about the only meat I eat regularly these days is the chicken empanadas on weekends.
Starter snow started. This isn't part of the big blizzard. I am unamused. May move a 2 mile swim to tomorrow because the odds of missing 2 days of swim due to Y closure are great. Friday, I might be able to sneak in during the day( working from home) if it starts getting bad late enough. Would have tonight but has a 30 minute interruption due to a wee child puke. Poor teacher wore most of it.
Ought to go get a bit more cash tomorrow. And grab some hummus. Kinda forgot that in my target run this morning, which was timed specifically to avoid the CSwhatever head guy going around taking temps. I have nothing more to say to him and he has nothing I want to hear.
My low carb is high fat, really. Avocado and olive oil but also bacon and cream and butter and cheese. Protein, I need a certain threshold but as long as I have that, I'm good. Even when I am building muscle, the threshold just goes up some and it's easy to get enough protein without really trying unless I am eating really unusual meals.
How are you feeling, Burrell?
Stay safe, all y'all in snowpocalypses
I'm thinking about adding a piece or 2 of bacon to my breakfast, because I can't believe how quickly I get hungry after eating a big bowl of oatmeal with protein powder and coconut oil in it. Also applesauce and fruit.
I actually also think it is the fat, not nrcessarily the protein that makes me crave meat. Right now i am super duper craving spinach!
I'd be interested in joining the group, Rebecca.
(ignores the half eaten piece of cake next to me)
