Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Awesome, thanks! The Van's website claims they have them at my local supermarket, so that's perfect. I also just found a simple recipe, so I'll see what I feel like closer to game time. (And how likely it is that the one vegan actually comes.... she's a solid maybe for baby reasons.)

lisah, I'm gonna have to take you up on that at some point. Soon as I get past the point of DELETE ALL. (Really, that's about all I have managed to accomplish.)

I'm so not looking forward to this storm. Or Target later.

Traveling without my phone - no maps and no alarm for the morning. Actually had to use the hotel clock which I haven't done in years.

sara - I'm glad your deputy director has your back. I hope that support turns into a resolution for you soon.

I got up at 5:30 because my first meeting starts at 8am and the last ends at 5pm.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds like too much in the way of meetings.

I have way less nausea today, woohoo! Still going to work from home because I just don't have enormous confidence that it wouldn't hit me again as soon as I got to work if I tried to go in. Also, may need to nap. Fortunately I don't have a whole lot that needs to get done today.

I have scheduled a few breaks in there for me to get some actual thoughtful work shit done, but six meetings is still a lot.

I only have two official meetings today. But I found out why my Project Manager has been more flaky than usual. His mom just started chemo and he is the one taking her to and from treatment and all that. So, no more complaining from me. I wish there was something tangible I could do beyond making sure the work is covered.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Never heard of Galentine's day before -- uh, obviously -- but that sounds fun. Plus Leslie Knope pedigree!

Sending you lots of strength, sarameg, to deal with ragey work issues.
