My favorite font is Calibri, and after that, Arial. My eyes aren't as sharp as I could wish, and if I can go sans serif, things are clearer and easier for me to read.
Times New Roman isn't as immediately readable for me.

Kat, I just signed up for The Molly Weasley Ugly Jumper Run, so thanks for the pointer to the Hogwarts Running Club.

I was thinking of doing that, too! I have it open in another tab.
That sounds like something I might need to sign up for too
I have started making my handouts for class in either Helvetica or Arial, both of which must probably rival Times New Roman for both boring AND readability. But since readability is more important to me I really don't care.
I've got to stop making mistakes.
Dude. Achievable goals. That is not one.
Home from the company party. Didn't win anything in the raffles, meal was pretty good. I'm kind of weirdly peeved that my boss got an award - seems like she's being rewarded for prioritizing her direct reports below her projects. For all I know that's legitimately what went down, but as her sometimes neglected direct report it rankles. On the whole, meh.
But three-day weekend, so that's good.
Bev! I love Calibri!
Right? It just...looks right. The lower case g is the traditional typeface g, rather than the arial or helvetica g. It's not as round as other sans serifs, but it's not as skinny as arial, either. I just love it. It's easy to read, uncomplicated, simple.
I've got my custom CSS here set to it!
Scrivener is set to Courier, but that's because it's better for me for writing. All typewritery.
My work email default is Calibri. It's a good, workhorse of a font.
I was at a museum exhibition last week where the display text was almost, but not quite Gil Sans. I have nothing against Gil Sans at all, but the display font was so close that I kept looking for those funky "p"s in the italic bits, and they weren't there. It was distracting.
