I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Unrelated: so if someone copies me on an email to someone else asking for info, I know the someone else is in a meeting but I have the info so I Reply-All with it, an hour later the someone else replies-all with the same information in a slightly different format and the original sender thanks her - I probably shouldn't take that personally, right? I'm just, like, fragile this morning.

It's very angry-making, Dana. I have had enough if it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, don't take that personally, -t. Among so many other things, you know people don't manage their in-boxes properly.

True, true. Thanks!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Yeah, don't take that personally, -t. Among so many other things, you know people don't manage their in-boxes properly.

My reaction was "VENDETTA! Salt in their coffee!!! Install Windows ME on their computer!!!"

...because I work from home and have no human contact, so a little office drama sounds fun.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Sigh. Not only did I not win the powerball, I didn't even match a single number, in the five tickets I had. I mean, $10 down the drain is far from a financial burden, it's worth it to dream, but yeesh!

I had no real hopes of winning, the tickets I purchased were protection against a case of the What If?s that I'd have gotten if I didn't buy any at all.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

About 15-20 years ago Powerball or something like it had a record value. My bosses and coworkers all went in together to buy some tickets. I joined in, but it was out of fear of having everyone else win and my bosses folding up the company that motivated me to do it. That's the only time I've played the lottery.

re: Alan Rickman--on the first Tubular Bells album (a somewhat classical music album, not a soundtrack for The Exorcist) there's a part where individual instruments play the main theme, and a lovely male British voice names the instruments. The voice is only credited as Wandering Player. Later Googling revealed that Wandering Player was Alan Rickman. I always wondered if they were recording the music and the composer decided to put a narrator there, and he looked out into the corridor of the studio and yelled "Alan! Do you want to be on my record?"

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Today is my Friday and my co-workers have given me a steaming pile of errors to have to fix instead of doing the work I had planned to. Billing mistakes and shipping errors from as far as 2 months back!

Grrrr

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I love how people are phrasing that... "___ is reporting that Alan Rickman died". Like yeah, they are saying it, but Maybe it will turn out to be a hoax this time. I want it to be hoax this time.

Mainly because there have been some who had been claiming that it was a hoax.
