I hate to break it to you, oh impotent one, but you're not the big bad anymore, you're not even the kind of naughty.

I didn't know Hubby in his EMT days, but he told me many stories. Strength to the BF and to you, Maria, as the one to hold him up.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Thanks, all. It just gets worse. The preliminary reports say a father shot his daughter, and then shot himself. Daughter was DOA when BF got on scene.

And the calls just keep coming in. He's had no downtime to process. My admiration of first responders continues to grow.

Because this is a small town, I'm almost guaranteed to know the individuals involved. People plain suck.

Eek, Maria.

Dana, mint kit Kats not good because not good, or because you didn't expect to be eating one? I think they sound good in theory...though I'm anxiously anticipating going to Canada in two weeks, when I will get to buy All the Coffee Crisp.

Also those window washers sound scary. That would drive me batshit from the noise/surprise, and also make me anxious about them falling off or something!

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

So sorry, Maria. Love and strength to you and your BF, and everyone involved.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Well, first I didn't expect them, but I also didn't think the mint flavor worked with the chocolate flavor.

The window washers were totally driving me batshit, but they have moved on, thank god. No one else on my team was in the office yet, so I couldn't go complain to anyone.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, how terrible, Maria! I'm so sorry.

And people will want to talk about it. That sucks, too.

That's awful, Maria. I'm sorry.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh Maria, that's awful.

In silly news, I was just scrolling through Linked In, after connecting with a former coworker, and there was someone on there that I remembered really fondly, but couldn't remember what her job was, so I clicked through and realized she was my friend from the bathroom! Our jobs didn't intersect at all, but I saw her in the bathroom all the time.
