Our wings are not tired.

I didn't watch the Globes. That was rare for me, but it doesn't sound like I missed much.

RIP wishes for Bowie. The mortality thing just isn't cool.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

RIP wishes for Bowie.

Wow. Just heard and wow. I didn't know he had cancer.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Yeah, that's what has me reeling -- I had no idea he was even ill. I'm glad I work from home, because I'm playing Bowie all day.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I really shouldn't have checked Facebook before getting out of bed this morning. Hard to make myself get up and face a world without David Bowie in it.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Wow, David Bowie. I don't know how to feel.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The radio said that he got a cancer diagnosis 18 months ago and told almost no one.

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, I guess there were whispers here and there, but for the most part people/press gave him some privacy.

This is also my plan, but I have to wait for my headphones to charge up because I do not work from home and none of my coworkers have mentioned it yet (neither have I, but I am generally taciturn and silent. It is known)

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Double fucking whammy today. Woke up and heard about Bowie. Just about an hour ago BF texted he was going on a call. I was also listening on the scanner. Shooting--one dead and one flown to the trauma center. This is in the little bitty town of 1500 where the restaurant is. Not even his full-time EMT job; he volunteers here. It sounds horrific. His voice is super-stressed on the radio. This is the first time we're dealing with a call this bad as a couple. I'm trying desperately not to step in the guac. Goddamned idiots with guns.

edit: I am also concerned for the victims, but my first priority will always be him. Shooter is in cuffs. What the hell is going on here?
