Guess I can still get one of those lottery tickets. Although standing in line is not an option. Not that enthused.
Socialized last night, so back to working today, with football in the background although I don't really have a favored team.
A friend of mine just politely linked to Snopes on Facebook, and the person replied: "Um, Snopes is run by liberals and isn't trustworthy, when researching something of a conservative nature."
Reality has a well documented liberal bias, flea.
Exactly! I'm tempted to link [link] but ... you can't win with some people.
If they think Snopes is biased, they're not going to believe factcheck.org either.
It would be interesting to hear what the response was to the factcheck validation of Snopes. Probably also deeply troubling but, you know, interesting.
I have the same issue when trying to dispute anything from some of my conservative extended family members. They don't trust anything unless it's from Fox News or Newsmax or something.
Having a political discussion is tough when the two sides aren't living in the same world.
I actually had a relative say, when I disputed a Fox point, "Why can't we just have a fair and balanced discussion?"
I poured more wine and wished for some sort of typhoon or flood or something.
Confession: I really hate the term "sportsball." The way I see people on FB use it comes across as condescending and rude. Am I reading it wrong?
