See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

msbelle is me WRT packing. Also, I usually wear 2-3 layers on travel day, including, if more than 1 pair of footwear is needed, whatever's the biggest and bulkiest pair to further lighten the packing. Same thing on the return trip.

Well, that was quick. Now it's time for lunch and more work before I run my next errand to the T-Mobile store.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Got into a car accident at lunch. After filling up gas tank, woot! Will find out in a couple of days if my car is totalled. Lady crossed illegally across four lanes of traffic and I slammed into her passenger side head on. We both managed to pull safely into the parking lot she'd been aiming for. My crv hood was crumpled, headlights smashed, and antifreeze leaking. Not a scratch on her Tucson. But I did make her front wheel take on a 45 degree angle. She called the cops, and they were cool, possibly because we weren't screaming at each other (it was more "it was going to be a good Friday, so sorry to meet you in these circumstances, I'm glad you're okay"). I'm more chagrined that I'd just spent so much on my central drive shaft, exhaust system, and timing belt. I'm using the work truck for now, have the offer of an Audi, the eventual use of a rental covered by Linda's insurance, and the train. And after mom yelled at me to go to the emergency room to have my knee looked (it slammed into the dashboard) said she'd help with financing on a new-old car if need be.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yikes, Juliebird, that's scary! Glad you're all right!

In other news, cranky coworker from yesterday was feeling better and aware that he'd been unreasonably cranky. I finally had enough perspective to see that, in the end, we'd been both pissed off for doing what the other wanted to certain extent.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Sleep has been wonderful today. I did work for two hours - deadline stuff only. CJ is off at work and K-Bug is on a first date. Just me, Jack, Noodle, and Miss Kitty, all on my bed together. Flu symptoms still are failing to manifest, so it seems like the fever burned off whatever virus it was. Going to take tomorrow off from life and then get back to things.

Juliebird - glad you are ok. Damage to the car sucks, but ultimately replaceable. Unlike you.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sorry about your car, Juliebird.
