I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I did not know I needed to see Channing Tatum lip-syncing "Run the World", and yet.

The whole clip might be a little racy for work, depending how careful you have to be.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The trip to London was great! We did almost everything I wanted to do and we had a lovely time! My photos are up on Flickr if anyone wants to see them. I've made them public, and I'll be adding more soon. I posted the highlights on FB and Instagram. Look at me, all social media!

And man, my feet still hurt. We walked SO MUCH. I wore my Fitbit and it was astonished at me. 5 or 6 miles a day may be regular days to most of y'all, but it's not to me, that's way more than I usually walk, so I'm all proud of myself. It's probably why I didn't gain any weight! mmm, fish and chips... Now if I can just keep that up... after my feet return to their normal size and shape...

My hormones have become the weirdest things. Week before period, super productive and great mood. First days of period falling asleep all day. Week after period annoyed super easy and want to cry in an instant.

Oh, that's me, exactly. I hate the after-period hormone-rush of aggravation and anxiety and depression. Looking forward to menopause. I would rather deal with new physical changes and have my brain back.

The Mirena is the one with low levels of hormones, and it can make your period disappear (which is AWESOME).

This is what I got, four years ago. No other side effects (that I'm aware of) besides the vanished period. I'm hoping menopause will kick in shortly and I won't need to have another Mirena installed.

Oh, I bought a lottery ticket before I left! Wonder where it is. Maybe I won.

But also, I'm worried about having to give her daily shots for the next 8 years. That seems like it might suck.

It will suck more than not having to do it, but it might suck less than not doing it. Not to downplay the suckage of daily shots, epsecially intramuscular shots, they kinda hurt. I think Liese's right, though, you'll learn how best to do it and she'll adjust like the resiliant happy being she is, and soon it will just be normal. As Plei said, may it go well and suck minimally.

I had a pair of Bearpaw boots, they were great. I gave them to my niece when she moved Up Nawth.

I really really don't want to go back to work on Monday. Age 52 with a limited skill set is not the a great circumstance to start looking for a new job, though. Hi, I read fast and spell good, I can push paper like The Flash, I don't like people much, I need clear instructions and minimal supervision, and I prefer to work in my pajamas on the couch! I'm a total catch! Hire me!

The cat is wailing at me. I need to go clean the litterbox or feed him or pet him or something.

Glad that's over, Tep.

I really didn't want to get out of bed and come to work today. But I did. And 4 people in the department are out so far

ETA I didn't actually finish this post, did I? It's not important, just moaning that my to-do list is extra long with backing up the accounts of people who are out, but none of them actually require any action at this point so it's all good.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It was great following your travels. The Globe picture was my favorite.
